Electron binaries
Avrea caches Electron release archives and their checksum manifests. Repeated downloads of the same release and platform use the packages cache.
On Avrea runners
Section titled “On Avrea runners”When Package Manager Cache and Electron Binary Cache are enabled, Avrea sets this mirror on Linux, macOS, and Windows:
ELECTRON_MIRROR="https://cache.avrea.com:8443/electron/"Use your normal Electron installation. Downloads are cached automatically and reused across jobs.
What is cached
Section titled “What is cached”Avrea caches release archives and checksum manifests for stable, alpha, and beta releases. Electron's npm dependencies use the npm cache.
View cache activity under Electron · Binaries in the console.
Enable or disable
Section titled “Enable or disable”Electron Binary Cache (cache.electron-binaries.enabled) is enabled by default.
Turn it on or off at organization or repository level under Settings in
the Avrea console. Package Manager Cache
(cache.packages.enabled) must also be enabled.
Disable it for a repository:
avr settings set cache.electron-binaries.enabled falseRe-enable it:
avr settings set cache.electron-binaries.enabled trueReset to the inherited default:
avr settings reset cache.electron-binaries.enabledRepository overrides take precedence over organization settings. Changes apply to new jobs. See Managing caches.
Overrides
Section titled “Overrides”Workflow and step environment variables can override ELECTRON_MIRROR.
To clear Avrea's mirror for a step:
- run: npm ci env: ELECTRON_MIRROR: ""Electron's npm configuration and package configuration can take precedence over this environment variable.
See Electron's installation guide.
